I like my guac extra chunky and my chips extra crunchy

Hey all,

Today I have a quick and easy recipe to an all time favorite! Who doesn't love some tasty guacamole? YUM! I made mine as a side to carne asada tacos which were delicious (I'll post a recipe here soon for those).

This is definitely my privilege talking but throughout this quarantine, one of the things I miss the most is going out to eat and indulging in chips, guac and salsa. Since leaving home is not really an option right now, I figured I would make my own guacamole and indulge from the comfort of my own couch.

Ingredients:
Avocado (the number of avocados depends on the amount of guacamole you want, it is only my husband and I so one makes enough especially since you add in other ingredients).
1/4 of a white onion
1/4 of a cup of cilantro
1 Roma tomato
1 Jalapeno or 1 Serrano pepper (keep in mind serrano peppers tend to be spicier)
1/2 a lime
Salt

Preparation 5 mins
1.Start by cutting your avocado in half and removing the seed
2.Using a spoon scoop out one of your avocado halves
3.Start to chop your ingredients, if you like a smoother guacamole chop your ingredients very fine if your like me and you love chunky guacamole then just go at it and chop up your ingredients, you don't need to be too precise in your chopping.
4.Add half of your ingredients into the avocado you scooped up then scoop the other half and add the rest of the ingredients.
5.Mix it all up and use your spoon to smooth out the avocado.
6.Add your half a lime and your salt

My love for guacamole runs deep so I can literally eat it by itself or with tortilla chips, but remember this makes a great side to any Mexican dish. Enjoy!
